All Hail The King And Queen
Thu 6th September 2007
It's official; Dan O'Connor (Ned Parker) and Natalie Blair (Carmella Cammeniti) are the King and Queen of Teen.
At the second annual Dolly Teen Choice Awards, the readers of Dolly magazine voted Dan and Nat the reigning young personalities of the year. And we couldn't agree more.
The ceremony was held last night at Sydney's Luna Park, which was something of a challenge for the busy Melbourne based stars. Natalie only just managed to make the flying visit to accept her award before rushing back to shoot her scenes in studio first thing this morning.
Unfortunately Dan's hectic filming schedule meant that he couldn't go at all, so Nat posed with good pal Pippa Black (Elle Robinson) on the red carpet instead.
Thankfully Nat had some Neighbourly company on stage too... former Ramsay Street resident Delta Goodrem (Nina Tucker) was a guest presenter for the evening.
Also representing Neighbours at the ceremony was Sam Clark (Ringo Brown). Sam has a particularly special relationship with Dolly magazine: he was cast in Neighbours after winning their 2006 competition to find the next big soap star.
Sam's co-winner was, of course, Adelaide Kane (Lolly Allen). However, a lesser known fact is that Sam initially auditioned with his best friend, Tim Phillipps. Eagle-eyed viewers may have seen that name before: Tim went on to play Fox, the dangerously destructive figment of Paul Robinson's tumour infested imagination.
