Celebrities Line Up for Cameos

As if Neighbours wasn't already full to the brim with stars, it seems that even more celebrities are lining up to be a part of the show.
Hot on the heels of chat show host Rove McManus, cricketing legend Shane Warne and AFL star Brodie Holland, Australian Idol host Andrew G is the latest personality to turn up unexpectedly in Erinsborough.
He filmed his scenes last week and they will air early in the new year in Australia. Although we don't want to give too much away, we can reveal that his storyline involves something both he and Harold Bishop are passionate about. And no, it's not hair care.
Meanwhile, rumours are also flying that Victoria and David Beckham have been invited to make an appearance. The Neighbours production team refuses to confirm or deny the speculation but UK's Daily Mirror newspaper claims that their advisors think it would be an excellent boost for Brand Beckham.
A poll on an entertainment website seems to support their opinion. 57% of people surveyed thought a Beckham cameo would be hilarious. Although 13% did say they'd rather bring back Bouncer instead.
And just to prove Neighbours isn't hogging all the talent, a former Ramsay Street resident is set to make a guest appearance in popular British soap Emmerdale. Anne Charleston, who played Madge Bishop, is off to the Yorkshire Dales to play Lily, the estranged sister of battleaxe Edna Birch. Given her experience of playing feisty female characters, something tells us Anne will be more than a match for her on-screen sister.
